Interested in the subject areas of food safety, food science, food preparation, and food preservation?

The Extension Master Food Volunteer program allows people with interests in food, cooking, and nutrition to take their expertise to a higher level while developing new avenues for helping in the community.  The Master Food Volunteer Program is patterned after the successful Master Gardener Program.

Anderson County currently has five active Master Food Volunteers - Joan Rockers, Connie Thompson, Veronica Branton, MaryAnn Tindell, and Marjorie Stephens.  This is an exciting program to reach out into communities with Anderson County Extension programs.

If interested, contact the Anderson County Extension Office at 785-448-6826.  MFV Application Forms are
due January  2010.
