Master Food Volunteer Program
Interested in the subject areas of food safety, food science, food preparation, and food preservation?
The Extension Master Food Volunteer program allows people with interests in food, cooking, and nutrition to take their expertise to a higher level while developing new avenues for helping in the community.  The Master Food Volunteer Program is patterned after the successful Master Gardener Program.
Anderson County currently has five active Master Food Volunteers - Joan Rockers, Connie Thompson, Veronica Branton, and Marjorie Stephens.  This is an exciting program to reach out into communities with Anderson County Extension programs.

WANTED:  Volunteers who are interested in food and nutrition! 

Class dates are: Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
February 19, 20, 26, 27, March 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20.
All classes are held at the Johnson County K-State Research & Extension office.

We are now taking applications for the Master Food Volunteer program in Anderson County.

Master Food Volunteer application  are due date January 23, 2013.
Volunteers take 40 hours of training and then are required to give back to Anderson County 40 hours of volunteer time.  Volunteers can teach classes, help with Knowledge @ Noon, work with the 4-H foods project, help with the Anderson County Fair and volunteer in many other ways.
