The Kansas 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences Action Team is excited to announce a NEW camping experience! "Find Your Wild Side: A Sewing Safari Adventure Camp" will be held June 27-30, 2012 at Rock Springs 4-H Center. Designed for youth ages 10-13, the camp will teach or refine basic sewing skills, expose campers to the variety of experiences available in the clothing and textiles project, and show how science, health, and technology relate to the clothing project.
In addition to enjoying some of the activities of Rock Springs, campers will complete four clothing projects, enjoy fun experiments, participate in a community service clothing activity, and plan and participate in a Fashion Show.
All of the fabrics, supplies, and equipment needed for the sewing projects will be provided. Camp is limited to 30 participants and will be filled on a first come first served basis. Registration, 4-H participation form, and fee must be completed entirely and mailed to the address given by June 1. Registration is not complete until all of these items have been received.
A few older teen and adult volunteers are also needed for this camp. Please see the volunteer job description and volunteer registration forms.
We look forward to seeing you at "Find Your Wild Side: A Sewing Safari Adventure Camp"!!
